What lies beneath the earth is quite a mystery, from above you would never guess that there exists a beautiful, textured slot canyon formed by erosion of the local Navajo sandstone. This was a moment of great anticipation, excitement and thrill. Having seen many photographs come out of this place by many others, it was now my turn, my turn to experience first hand and attempt to capture what inspired me to visit this place.

As we entered the canyon with camera in hand, I couldn’t wait to fire away. The beauty was everywhere, everywhere I looked was an image waiting to happen. But this canyon had more to offer, at first you are drawn to the curves, the colours, the shapes and forms but its not until the light beams penetrate the canyon that you really understand where you are. It was explosive, it was dramatic and I was there to capture it all on camera.
